Project description
Myllykallio, Lauttasaari and Koivusaari tunnels are 3 separate access tunnels to underground stations. They are part of the Länsimetro project which connects Helsinki and Espoo. The excavations were in hard rock, with systematic grouting, under groundwater level, near the sea and in the urban area. Emphasis was on the protection of environmental and on the limits of noise and seismic.
